How To Speed Up your Slow Internet Connection?

Use a Better Browser

The browser you use has a great effect on the speed you will get when trying to access the internet so it is very important to use a better browser and not necessarily the default one that came with your computer. Most people use internet explorer but I have observed that internet explorer contributes to the slowness of a website so you might want to try some better browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Opera Browser.

Run a Disk Defragmentation

This should be done once every two weeks. It will improve your overall performance which can only help your Internet connection. To do this follow these simple steps

Go to Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Disk Defragmentation

CLEAR TEMP FILES

Deleting your web cache is a good way to speed up a slow internet connection. These files take up valuable resources that could be used to for a better net surfing experience. Remember that while you are online many files in the web cache are active. Cookies are loaded in your browsers and constantly update themselves. Also your computer will search through the temp files to match the latest version of a web page. So, by clearing the web cache you cut down on the work your PC needs to do thus speeding up your slow internet connection. Remember to shutdown the browser when deleting the cache. Because what files are open will not be deleted.

Run Disk Cleanup Option

By defaults, your computer’s temporary internet files are been saved on your computer memory and Windows has kept this files save from being deleted. It consists of unused programs and some internet files that are no longer in use and they occupy a lot of space on the computer and thereby decrease the speed of the computer which can also affect the speed of the computer internet access. You can clean up these clutters by following this simple to follow steps:

Go to Start>>Programs>>Accessories>>System Tools>>Disk Cleanup, and follow the next computer screen instruction to cleanup your computer temporary files that can affect your Internet connection speed.
